Perfectly Pinup

First off, I'd like to apologize for my lack of posts lately! I've been having computer problems and my laptop is currently in a repair shop. They were nice enough to let me use a spare chromebook while they're fixing mine, but I sure can't wait to have my baby back! On top of that I also moved back down to Sarasota as school is starting on Monday, AND Austin and I rescued a puppy, so I've been plenty busy with unpacking/doggy duty. While I was away from posting I did manage to squeeze in a few more classic car pinup shoots, so I figured as my first post back I would share a few of my favorite pictures.
I hope you enjoy!

And that's all folks!

Sunday Picnic

"Nothing's better than a picnic"- Zooey Deschanel
I can't help but fully agree with that sentiment. Last weekend Austin and I packed up our picnic basket with some goodies and headed over to a a local park that's not well known and is always blissfully quiet. With just the two of us and his guitar, it was the perfect summer picnic. Even better, it was the perfect opportunity to break out my new watermelon dress from ModCloth!

We brought a spread of chicken sandwiches on multigrain ciabatta, a basil pesto pasta salad, watermelon (of course, the best summer treat), strawberry and peach fruit salad, the makings for a cheese board, and some wonderful pastries from my favorite bakery.

Add on this handsome guy and his music, and the evening was pretty magical.

Seriously though, how cute is this dress?? And perfect for twirling!

I hope you're all enjoying your summer!

Polka Dots and Pink Roses

This weekend was just filled to the brim with good things, including a show by Austin's band, a Sunday picnic (stay tuned for a post!), trips to the bookstore, and so much more. On Saturday however, I tracked down the beach cruiser I had stored in the garage, cleaned it up, and took it for a spin for the first time in ages. Naturally a bike this cute calls for an outfit equally as adorable.

I scored this dress from ebay, and the listing actually included two other darling dresses that I absolutely love. I swear some of my best finds are from ebay, I'm simply crazy about it. I always have a ton of items saved in my watch list. This dress in particularly was great for feeling cute while still being comfortable. Swing dresses are so versatile, and I love how they can be dressed up and down.

How cute are the buttons all down the back??

And of course an adorable bike basket like this one is just begging to be filled, and so I answered that call with some cute pink spray roses. They're currently sitting on my dresser, and have opened up so beautifully!

I hope your weekend was equally lovely!
