Fall Florals, Polka Dots, and Skeletons X Restricted Shoes

I admit it, I'm that girl, fall is undoubtedly my favorite time of year. But how can I not love it? Everything about it is so wonderful- the changing colors, the flavored coffee, the scarves and sweaters, the pumpkins and monsters and skeletons... the whole season is just spooky and magical. I also love the challenge of creating fresh autumn inspired looks.
This challenge was made a bit easier with help from Restricted Shoes and this great pair of pumps they sent my way! I loveee mixing prints, and as soon as I saw the great pin dot pattern on these bad boys I knew exactly what I wanted to wear them with. I got these amazing Lena Hoschek pants secondhand in preparation for fall, and I figured this would be the perfect opportunity to break them out for the first time! To give some flair I borrowed Austin's suspenders, and added my skeleton hair clips to keep things spooky. I love all the combined textures and the subdued fall color palette, aso well as the combination of masculine and feminine styles. This ended up being a super fun outfit to put together, and I'll definitely be repeating it throughout the season.

My favorite part of these heels is how comfortable, but honestly I'm not even surprised. Restricted Shoes has constantly exceeded my expectations with providing shoes that are both comfortable and super cute! The heel is a nice height, and the extra strap details are such a nice touch. It's this attention to detail that makes Restricted Shoes such a staple in my closet! As always, you can use the code N&H25 for 25% off your order if you need to snap up a pair of your own! Let me know which pair you choose if you do, it's always fun to hear about your style!
Xoxo,
Samantha

Holiday Ready X Restricted Shoes

So I don't know about you, but when the holiday season rolls around it always feels like there's a million freakin' things to do. Additionally, now that Austin and I are married we have several branches of the family that all have to be juggled. Between my mom and stepdad, my father, his parents, our grandparents, plus friends and other extended family members, there are quite a few engagements that keep us on our toes this time of year. Usually I end up scouring my closet for several holiday-worthy outfits that feel original (I don't want to keep repeating the same holiday outfit over and over).

Autumn Vibes X Restricted Shoes

I have an announcement to make, I am So. Over. Summer. I am over the heat, the bugs, the sunburns. So done. Today was overcast and gloomy, with little patches of rain, and had it been about 20 degrees cooler it would have been the perfect fall day. Naturally I spent all day pretending it's already fall and dreaming of pumpkin lattes, knit scarves, and crackling fireplaces.
